What is Eminem's best motivational song

In the past year, Eminem sold more albums than any other artist. This was not only due to KAMIKAZE, the record by the Detroit rapper released in 2018. His repertoire now consists of ten studio albums, which continue to generate impressive sales figures. Six of them also received a Grammy in the "Best Rap Album" category. In terms of awards, sales and chart positions, we present the five most commercially successful Eminem albums.

5. Relapse (2009)

Eminem himself considers the horrorcore album to be his weakest work. He was struggling with withdrawal symptoms at the time and wasn't exactly astute. Nevertheless, RELAPSE sold over 7.5 million copies worldwide and stayed on the Billboard charts for 77 weeks, even at number one for two weeks. Some things may seem familiar by now: The record received the “Best Rap Album” award at the Grammy Awards in 2010. Thematically it is dark and disturbing. The artist stages human abysses as a joke and would like to wipe out the most diverse people. This time, his criminal fantasies involve Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. Despite the haunting beats, the almost completely by Dr. Dre did not produce the record in terms of sound, but rap is - even that is nothing new - a brilliant achievement.

4. Recovery (2010)

"Fuck my last CD, that shit’s in my trash," raps Eminem and confirms once again that he thinks absolutely nothing of RELAPSE. The follow-up album is "to anyone who's in a dark place tryin 'to get out. Keep your head up… It does get better! " Not for nothing is the title of the 2010 album RECOVERY. Eminem's way out of depression and drug addiction is embedded in Moll. The artist proves his talent again and raps refined rhyme forms and complicated syncopated rhythms at a previously unheard speed. For the first time women are also involved: Pink in “Won’t Back Down” and Rihanna in “Love The Way You Lie” - a sample of the commercial pop that Eminem hated. The rapper's seventh studio album, which was supposed to be called "Relapse 2" until it took a turn in terms of content, sold over 15 million copies worldwide and was number one on the Billboard album charts for seven weeks. At the 2011 Grammy Awards, it won Eminem's next award for best rap album of the year.

3. The Slim Shady LP (1999)

In 1999, Eminem's breakthrough came with his avenging alter ego Slim Shady (and producer and mentor Dr. Dre). The record sold over 18 million times and received the award for best rap album at the Grammy Awards in 2000. The single "My Name Is" was honored with the award for the best "Rap Solo Performance" on the same evening. With THE SLIM SHADY LP, Eminem established himself as a technically outstanding rapper and gifted writer. He also laid the violent tenor of his upcoming albums and fueled the endless controversies that were to accompany him from now on. Eminem's fantasies of abuse against women even stopped Marilyn Manson from collaborating with the rapper on the song "97 Bonnie And Clyde".

2. The Eminem Show (2002)

Not quite as nihilistic as the previous album THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP, but still rude and sarcastic, THE EMINEM SHOW from 2002 is about loneliness, anger at US politics and anger with the music industry. In addition, the rapper continues to grapple with his family history. The recurring theme is the three most important women in his life: mom, his (ex) wife and daughter Hailie. In “Hailie’s Song” Eminem sings for the first time - but fortunately lets it go again afterwards. The artist mixes up his heavy beats with rock elements in “Sing For The Moment” and “White America”. Funk influences can even be heard in “Without Me”. THE EMINEM SHOW sold more than 27 million copies worldwide and stayed at number one on the Billboard album charts for six weeks. In 2013, Eminem again received the Grammy for best rap album thanks to the record.

1. The Marshall Mathers LP (2000)

THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP managed both: to be highly praised musically and to be discussed as completely unacceptable in terms of content. Eminem then processes his difficult childhood in poor circumstances and as a constant victim of bullying. His anger hits women especially. In "Kill You" he wants to rape and kill his mother, in "Kim" he plans to beat up his wife and make her body disappear in the trunk. Despite misogyny and homophobia, the album stayed on the Billboard charts for 69 weeks, even at number one for six weeks, and won the 2001 Grammy for best rap album. Gay rights and women’s rights groups are protesting in front of the doors of the award ceremony. Inside, Eminem appears strategically on stage with Elton John.

With over 32 million sales worldwide, the album tops Eminem's hit list. The influence of the record is undisputed: Not only did the artist finally prove what a great storyteller he is. The term "Stan", title of the third single, appeared in the Oxford Lexicon for the first time in 2017. It describes an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity.
