Container orchestration tools

Kubernetes also helps you with workload portability and load balancing by allowing you to move applications without redeveloping them.
Main components of Kubernetes:
- Cluster: A control plane and at least one calculating machine or at least one node.
- Control plane: The entirety of the processes that control the Kubernetes nodes. All task assignments are output here.
- Kubelet: This service runs on the nodes, reads out the container manifests and ensures that the defined containers are started and in operation.
- Pod: A group of one or more containers deployed in a single node. All containers in a pod share an IP address, IPC, host name and other resources.
How does container orchestration work?
When using a container orchestration tool such as Kubernetes, describe the configuration of an application in a YAML or JSON file. The configuration file tells the configuration management tool where to find the container images, how to set up a network, and where to store logs.
When a new container is deployed, the container management tool automatically plans the deployment in a cluster, takes into account all defined requirements or restrictions and finds the right host. The orchestration tool then manages the life cycle of the container based on the specifications set in the build file.
You can use Kubernetes Patterns to manage the configuration, lifecycle, and scaling of container-based applications and services. These repeatable patterns are the tools a Kubernetes developer needs to build complete systems.
Container orchestration can be used in any environment that containers run in, such as: B. on local servers and public or private cloud environments.
