§ 21 Termination

(1) 1The vocational training relationship ends with the end of the training period. 2In the case of level training, it ends when the last level is over.


(2) If trainees pass the final examination before the end of the training period, the apprenticeship relationship ends when the result is announced by the examination board.


(3) If trainees do not pass the final examination, the apprenticeship relationship can be extended at their request until the next possible repeat examination, by a maximum of one year.

§ 22 Termination


Section 22 is quoted in 8 provisions


(1) During the probationary period, the vocational training relationship can be terminated at any time without observing a notice period.


(2) After the probationary period, the apprenticeship can only be terminated


1.
for an important reason without observing a notice period,

2.
from trainees with a notice period of four weeks if they give up their vocational training or want to be trained for another professional activity.

(3) The termination must be in writing and, in the cases of paragraph 2, stating the reasons for termination.


(4) 1A termination for an important reason is ineffective if the facts on which it is based have been known to the person entitled to termination for longer than two weeks. 2If a planned conciliation procedure is initiated before an out-of-court body, the course of this period will be suspended until it has ended.
