David Goudreault is a writer, poet and social worker. As artistic director of the Grande nuit de la poésie de St-Venant, he has published three volumes of poetry with Écrits des Forges and four novels with Éditions Stanké, including the trilogy La Betewhich was a huge success. His astute writing has earned him numerous awards, including the National Assembly Medal, the World Poetry Cup, the Archambault Literary Grand Prize, and the Prix des nouvelles voix de la littérature. His latest novel, Ta mort à moi, is currently a finalist for the Prix France-Québec 2020.

Jennifer Dummer is a translator (from French) and a blogger. She works to promote Quebec culture in the German-speaking market. She studied French and comparative literature in Mainz, Berlin and Montreal. She promotes the literature and music of Quebec through the blogs jennismusikbloqc.com and quelesen.com, and she introduces the culture of Quebec and Canada in the event series Book and you and at the festival Aurores Montréal - BERLIN EDITION in front. She is the editor of the bilingual anthology of Québec and French-Canadian short stories Pareils, mais différent / Exactly, just different, published by the Munich publisher DTV.
